February 2025 was a month of great activities at JD Institute of Fashion Technology, where students got the opportunity to learn from professionals and exhibit their creativity. From seminars to workshops, there was just too much going on, and it was a month of learning and inspiration.

The Marble Seminar

One of the highlight events for Interior Design students was the seminar titled Exploring the World of Marbles. This seminar was conducted by Mr. Hardik, a marble specialist with more than 30 years of experience. He talked about marble and natural stones, giving an explanation on how the materials are applied in interior design.

Mr. Hardik guided students from start to finish, explaining how marble is mined from quarries and subsequently crafted into stunning designs. He also explained the various types of marble and how to select which one will best suit their designs. The seminar also discussed the need for sustainability and to consider the effect of the materials on the environment.

Batch End Display: Fashion Design Students Showcase Their Work

Batch End Display was held on February 18th in school for the Nov ’23 batch of Diploma in Fashion Design. The display was very important as it was an unveiling of the students with their final project, showcasing all that they had worked diligently on throughout their course. The display was a showcase of their creativity and hard work.

Each student highlighted their collection, which was a personal style and talent. It was an appropriate time for the students to showcase their talents and hard work and, at the same time, feel the experience of presenting their designs before others. The event was a big milestone for these fashion students since they are preparing to take up their career in the fashion industry.

Pepe Jeans Fashion Designers Awards and Styling Workshop

Another thrilling activity was the Pepe Jeans Fashion Designers Awards and Styling Workshop. The workshop provided fashion students with an opportunity to learn about the Pepe Jeans brand, which is famous for its creative denim designs, and how they keep influencing fashion trends. The award theme for this year was Transitional Denim Lifestyle, where students were challenged to design outfits that blended traditional denim with contemporary trends.

The workshop instructed students on how to layer outfits to dress denim up for a variety of occasions. Students also learned the ability to match textures and styles together to make current and stylish clothing. Not only was this workshop an excellent learning opportunity, but it also provided students with the opportunity to have their designs seen by individuals who work in the fashion industry, which opened doors for their futures.

February 2025 at JD Institute of Fashion Technology was simply filled with great learning and growth opportunities for the students. Be it through the marble seminar or the fashion workshops, students acquired new things, learned new information, and were inspired that will help them professionally. By these activities, JD Institute is committed to equipping students with all they require to excel in the fashion and design industry. At the end of the month, students departed with a more robust and creative mindset, ready to face the challenges of their professional lives.
