Theme Unveiling For JD Design Awards 2022 - A New Tomorrow
JD Annual Design Awards now to be called JD Design Awards was an event organized by JD Institute across all their South Indian branches for aspiring JEDIIIANs to showcase their creativity and skills in front of renowned industrial professionals. Previously JD Design Awards were organized annually, but due to the unfortunate pandemic hit, JD Design Awards had not taken place in the last two years. However, this year JD Design awards are coming back with a bang to bring to you one of the best works displayed by our upcoming and aspiring designers. JD Design Awards 2022 began its course this year with the theme unveiling that was held on the 11th of February.
A theme is given to the students during every JD Design Award season for them to work around and curate their design accordingly. Many may wonder as to why a theme is to be assigned and why the students cannot be given an option to choose any theme/inspiration. The reason as to why a theme is provided is to discipline the students to work as per the given criteria which is also a mandatory skill to acquire when in the World Of Fashion.
JD Institute has always encouraged and motivated students to curate ideas and design that are sustainable and eco-friendly. On the same note, the theme for JDDA 2022 (JD Design Awards) also revolves around ‘Sustainability’ and a vision to a ‘Greener Future’.
The theme unveiling took place in all South branches of JD Institute starting from Bengaluru, Karnataka. It was held on the 11th of February at the Rotary Club. The theme unveiling was divided into two – the first half and the second – in order to follow all COVID guidelines. The first half of the day was attended by the interior students along with jewellery students and the second half was attended by the fashion design students along with the photography students.
The theme was unveiled by our Managing Trustee, Mr. Nealesh Dalal. The theme for this year’s JD Design Awards is ‘SYNC’. A theme to not only work towards sustainability but to join hands and work as one with nature. The concept of ‘SYNC’ is to have conscious thought today, for a greener and sustainable tomorrow.
Theme of this JD Design Awards is made with absolute thought and precision to make sure that our aspiring JEDIIIANs are guided and mentored to make the best of the opportunity given to them. This year, the students are given the option to collaborate with the other departments that consist of Interiors, Fashion, Jewellery, Photography and Makeup. Through this, the students will also be able to understand the perspective of other design fields. Apart from Bangalore, the theme was unveiled at Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Cochin and Goa. All our JEDIIIANs are now decked up to create and make a difference, to be the change. Are you ready?
