Abijith Harikumar, a Diploma in Interior Design graduate, presented his project “Harmony Heaven” at the JD Design Awards 2024 in Kochi. This project introduces a Holistic Therapy Center designed as a sanctuary for healing, wellness, and comprehensive care. Set in Ernakulam, the center is conceived to provide a nurturing environment where individuals, couples, and families can find solace and support through various therapeutic services. The design theme emphasizes harmony and balance, seamlessly blending modern aesthetics with tranquil, nature-inspired elements to foster a peaceful and rejuvenating atmosphere.
Each space within the center is meticulously crafted to cater to the diverse needs of its clients. The Individual Therapy Room offers a private and comfortable setting, while the spacious Family Therapy Room is designed to facilitate family dynamics and collaborative healing. The Couple Therapy Room, with its soothing ambiance, encourages trust and connection essential for relationship therapy. For younger clients, the Child Therapy Room is vibrant and playful, making therapy a positive and engaging experience. Communal areas like the Kitchen and Dining Room promote healthy eating and social interaction, integral to the holistic approach. The center also includes serene Bedrooms for overnight stays, providing comfort and restfulness for those requiring extended care.

The holistic design extends to the aesthetic beauty of the center, with a serene Pool area and an inviting Courtyard enhancing the tranquil atmosphere. These spaces not only contribute to the visual appeal but also offer therapeutic opportunities for relaxation and outdoor sessions. Natural elements such as wood, stone, and plants are thoughtfully incorporated throughout the center, fostering a connection with nature that is essential for mental and emotional rejuvenation. By aligning design with the principles of holistic healing, “Harmony Heaven” offers a transformative experience that integrates mind, body, and spirit, setting a new standard for wellness-focused spaces in Ernakulam.
