asian paints workshop – department of interior design The Diploma students recently attended a 10-day workshop organized by Asian Paints in association with JD Institute of Fashion Technology. It was conducted by Mr. Anup and was extremely well planned and executed. The Workshop covered a wide range of topics related to paints like:

Complete painting process
Composition of paints
Types of paints available
Different paints for Masonry, Wooden & Metal Surfaces
Surface Evaluation & Surface Preparation
Surface Defects & their solutions
Various tools used
Different designs and textures in paints
Different types of Wallcoverings

In addition to this, the students were made familiar with how to interact with clients and how to suggest the right products to them. The workshop also included practical hands-on experience right from the initial stage of surface preparation to the making of texture designs. Since the practical sessions were in teams of five, they learned team management lessons too. The entire staff of Asian Paints was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The institute was very well maintained, spacious and comfortable with good facilities. The students were thrilled to be a part of this creative and informative workshop.
