The designer Dharini has highlighted the essence of Indian embroidery, as her collection revolves around a rare type of embroidery usually found in the city of Lucknow completely justifying ‘Make In India’ concept. A flat metal thread available in variety of colors, the embroidery is one of the oldest form originated during the Rig Vedic Era. The designer says “this is one of the fading embroideries and very few craftsmen who are skilled to work on this. So I would like to create unique designs and outfits which may have not been tried ever.”
