A morning routine is one of the best ways to set the tone for the rest of the day. Especially as we have resumed work after lockdown, we are yet to tune our routine.
In order to have a fixed morning routine, waking up a little earlier can help you do things in a calm and easier way. These morning routine ideas can help you get up and get going all throughout the day.
Get your blood pumping:
Any kind of movement in your morning routine is a must. The easiest time to stretch is when you wake up. Child pose, twist, shoulder rolls and stretch as much as you can. Exercising in the morning is a great way to begin your routine. Run, do some cardio or perform Yoga either ways get your blood pumping. Hop in for a therapeutic shower. Make sure to use fragrant body wash and perfume after.
Imagine starting your day on a positive note, literally. All you have to do is sit yourself down in a calm environment and write down the one thing you are grateful for or write down dreams and goals you have already accomplished. This not only gives you confidence in your achievements but also motivation to seize the day.
Breakfast like a king
Plan your breakfast the previous night so you don’t spend too much time thinking about what to eat. Enjoy when you wake up and don’t be in a hurry. Include fruits, oatmeals, eggs, nuts, and berries to keep you going for the rest of the day.
This might take a few minutes but some breathwork in the morning will get you through the day.
- Sit up tall in the bed
- Breathe in through your nose, hold at the top and exhale out your mouth and hold at the bottom for four counts each
- Repeat for five breaths or more
To be in nature during early hours is a blessing in disguise. Being able to be one with nature, breathe fresh air and observe the surroundings is therapeutic in itself. While you do so, think about your day’s goals and reflect.
Fix your routine:
Sticking to a particular morning routine will not only help you save time but you will also get habituated and eventually it will be easier to set the tone for your day.
