1. Wide-tooth comb

A wide-tooth comb needs no introduction. Every house in India has this comb by choice or default. A wide-tooth comb is made with large spacing between the teeth of the comb. It is ideally used to comb wet hair to untangle knots. A wide-tooth comb is a universal type of comb preferred by everyone irrespective of the hair type or length. This comb causes no damage to the hair especially reduces the chances of split-ends.

2. Fine tooth comb

A fine-tooth comb is made of sharp teeth that are arranged close together. This comb is ideally suitable for people with straight hair. A fine-tooth comb works well in bringing hair together and give it a tidy and perfect look. However, if you have very thick and voluminous hair, then a fine-tooth comb is not advisable.

3. Rake comb

A rake comb’s teeth are wide apart and thick and is ideally used to straighten hair. A rake comb causes minimum pain while untangling due to the thick teeth of the comb.

4. All-purpose comb

As the name suggests, an all-purpose comb is used for universal hairstyling purposes. This comb is divided into two parts with both thin and thick teeth in the comb. An all-purpose comb can be used for both untangling hair and hairstyling purposes.

5. Handle combs

A handle comb is another type of comb that comes with a handle, as the name suggests. Ideally used to life hair, handle combs fit into the category of daily use combs.
