Performance Act:
The students’ Performance Art sequence offered a seamless emotional journey. Beginning with Macbeth’s ambition and guilt, it moved into the repetition of time, followed by Van Gogh’s inner turmoil where madness and creativity collided.

The conflict of Human vs AI, and finally a burst of satire and digital-age chaos with gods in the modern world. The journey concluded with Radha Krishna, where longing transformed into devotion and divine love. Each act flowed naturally, highlighting the students’ skill in storytelling, movement. emotional expression.
Draft, Cut, Create! Where Patterns come Alive:
The Art of transforming a pattern Draft into a finished Garment. Where flat patterns transform into perfectly crafted. Students explored accurate drafting techniques, precise cutting, and the careful placement of seams, linings, and interlinings.

this module emphasized both technical precision and creative decision-making, allowing students to bring their designs to life.
Surface to Statement, A Journey Across Fashion Eras:
Students showcased their creations in Fabric Manipulation & Ornamentation and Art & Costume Appreciation, exploring fashion from Ancient Egypt and the Renaissance to Goth and Punk

Each piece reflected mastery of texture, embellishment, and design evolution.
They progressed from basic surface designs to intricate Indian embroidery on modern silhouettes, blending historical study with hands-on application.

Demonstrating how students reimagine classic techniques into innovative, wearable art for contemporary fashion.
Industry, Travel & Insight – 2026:
Industrial and Craft Study Visit to Tiruppur and Ooty in January 2026 to enhance experiential learning and industry exposure. In Tiruppur, the knitwear capital of India, students gained in-depth knowledge of textile and apparel manufacturing through visits to knitting, dyeing, printing, and garment production units. The experience provided insights into industrial machinery, elastane knitting technologies, quality control, safety standards, and export-oriented production processes, along with valuable interactions with industry professionals.

The journey continued in Ooty with a craft immersion at the Government Museum, where students explored indigenous art, traditional textiles, and Toda embroidery, connecting heritage craftsmanship with modern fashion practices.

Overall, the visit provided a balanced mix of practical industry learning, cultural exploration, and memorable experiences, helping students connect classroom knowledge with real-world applications.
