JD Hyderabad partnered with Villa Marie to immerse students in traditional Indian block printing, linking profound heritage techniques with modern design.
The workshop successfully blended a centuries-old Indian craft with contemporary design. The session was a perfect blend of learning heritage techniques and applying them to contemporary design projects, showcasing the enduring relevance of this profound craft.
Material Exploration Jury:
BDES 2025 students explored the unique possibilities of diverse materials (thermocol, banana stem, wire) to fuel new design ideas.
Exploring Materials, Exploring Ideas! The BDES 2025 recently presented their findings in the Material Exploration Jury, showcasing deep understanding and creative insight. Students successfully demonstrated how every material, from the lightness of thermocol to the natural strength of banana stem and the flexibility of wire, holds unique design possibilities. This jury affirmed their ability to transform basic components into innovative and impactful design concepts

Dip, Dye, and Design! JD Hyderabad collaborated with Villa Marie for a Tie & Dye workshop, where students mastered essential resist dyeing techniques and created inspiring designs.
Vibrant Collaboration: Tie & Dye Success! We recently joined forces with Villa Mariiian’s for a high-energy Tie & Dye workshop.
Students fully immersed themselves in this popular technique, acquiring hands-on skills in resist dyeing and creating stunning patterns. Seeing their technical mastery translate into beautiful, unique designs was the ultimate highlight of this successful collaboration!
