JD Institute of Fashion Technology collaborated with noted South Indian actress, Neha Saxena for our awareness campaign #RISEAGAIN. She is renowned for her work in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Tulu cinemas alongwith a stint in Hindi movies. There was no one else that we would have wanted onboard than the versatile and headstrong Neha. Her joie de verve is next to none. Rather than wallowing in worry, Neha Saxena believes and speaks about getting up, dusting off and venturing out with a new vigour and zest for life. Having prominent industry stalwarts onboard helps for a wider reach, since their presence is extensive and have a huge following.
#RISEAGAIN is important in creating awareness that barriers should not be constructed like high walls to stop from moving ahead. Instead it has to be shattered to reach new heights as an individual. The visual medium is powerful and helps in having a higher recall value. Hence, capturing influencers from every field was important. The entertainment industry is highly influential and having an icon like Neha Saxena whose story is relatable among her fans helps in creating the impact to mobilise our youth in a positive direction.
As a performer she is used to having lengthy shoot days and lives her life literally out of suitcases. The pandemic did provide a reprieve, but for someone who is constantly on the move, she did not let it deter her. Not one to sit idle Neha used the time to rejuvenate and work on her craft. Post lockdown she has bounced back even stronger and advocates the need to adapt to a New Normal. Being scared is not the answer according to her. She goes out of her way to instill confidence amongst her friends and industry colleagues.
As an institute, JD Institute of Fashion Technology feels that it is imperative to provide a positive direction for its students. Be it through its pathbreaking methodologies or its holistic training. It has always tried to adapt to the times to be very relatable to its young mentees. Hence, the initiative is even more dear as the suddenness of the situation has created a sense of skepticism especially among those who will very soon be joining the workforce. Through the campaign, we not only wanted to reach out to every nook and cranny, but also urge our students that life is going to throw challenges at every step. However, sitting down and waiting for the situation to get well is not going to help anyone’s cause. Hence, everyone has to #RISEAGAIN and conquer.
