The JD Institute of Fashion Technology Cochin organized a Fevicryl Jewelry Making Workshop on October 16, 2023, on our campus. The session was attended by students from the department of fashion and interior design. Ms. Usha, Senior Trainer at Fevicryl, oversaw the whole workshop as a mentor. 

Ms. Usha headed students through all of the fundamental supplies needed for the workshop, explaining each step so that the students could participate actively in the activity. The students had a great time interacting with her. Ms. Usha gave the students instructions on how to make a variety of traditional pendants, such as Rajasthani Thewa jewelry and Tanjore style pendants with an old silver finish.

A variety of supplies and stationery, including mouldit, pearl paints, 3D outliner, beads, hooks, and hoops, were utilized to create the jewelry, which was given by Ms. Usha came from Fevicryl. With the use of these supplies, students were able to create unique pendants and earrings by adding their own designs and vibrant paint.

This allows them to use the knowledge they gain to other areas in the future. In addition to being therapeutic and calming, crafts are the best ways to unleash the creative side . It enhances fine motor abilities, which in turn helps to boost eye-hand coordination, and agility .
