Bee-yond Vision! is a visually impaired-friendly fashion line by designers Joyena Mukhopadhyay and Spoorthi Sabhahit, designed specifically for children aged 6 to 12 who are visually impaired. Based on the JDDA theme “Pause,” the collection redefines vision not as merely visual but as a diverse mix of touch, emotion, and perception.

Inspired by how bees experience the world—using ultraviolet light and special sensory inputs—the designers create clothing that celebrates individuality and defies traditional notions of design. By connecting the bee’s particular visual reality to the lived lives of visually impaired children, Bee-yond Vision! offers an inclusive, celebratory, and empowering fashion style.
Every element of the range serves a purpose: high-contrast colours enhance visual accessibility, and chunky tactile embroidery allows children to independently read and recognise their clothing. The range also encourages self-expression, self-confidence, and play.

Intended for daily summer wear, the clothes are crafted from breathable materials such as cotton, denim, rayon, linen, and tulle while ensuring comfort and practicality without sacrificing style. The collection is responsibly priced to be within the reach of all families.
Far more than a fashion line, Bee-yond Vision! is an invitation to take a moment and reflect on the potential of fashion as an instrument for inclusivity. Mukhopadhyay and Sabhahit challenge us to reimagine fashion through new eyes—ones that see accessibility and creativity intertwined, and where all children are given the confidence to feel noticed, felt, and honoured.
