At the JD Design Awards 2025, Kandanala Rekha Purnima,Gunti jayasri,Kaki Anjali presents the collection of Cymatic Genesis its a collection that proves fashion can be more than clothing; it can be a philosophy, a statement, and a call for change. Drawing inspiration from cymatics—the visual patterns formed by sound vibrations—the collection transforms discarded tyre tubes into sculptural fashion pieces. Each garment is a balance of science, sustainability, and artistry, capturing the beauty of stillness within movement. The process behind the collection reflects both innovation and resilience.

The designers experimented with multiple methods, from laser cutting to kinetic energy concepts, before embracing a hands-on approach. Tyre tubes, sourced from garages and mechanic shops, were cut into strips, cleaned with vinegar and water, and hand-shaped into patterns reminiscent of Chladni symmetry, concentric orbs, and sine waves. This meticulous craftsmanship reimagined waste as wearable geometry. The color palette—black, navy blue, and grey—was chosen to highlight the raw gloss of rubber against sturdy cotton twill, creating a striking contrast between silence and impact. Every piece communicates a message of mindfulness, urging us to slow down, reflect, and choose thoughtful creation over fast fashion.

Beyond aesthetics, Cymatic Genesis is deeply rooted in environmental responsibility. By upcycling tyre tubes—materials that otherwise pollute landfills and ecosystems—the collection turns a global problem into an opportunity for innovation. It stands as a reminder that fashion can align with sustainability without losing its edge. Cymatic Genesis is more than a trend; it is vibration reborn, urging us to embrace beauty, purpose, and care in every thread.
