The collection draws inspiration from the traditional Etikoppaka wooden toys of Andhra Pradesh, renowned for their vibrant natural colors, smooth finishes, and eco-friendly craftsmanship. Crafted from Ankudu wood and colored using plant-based dyes, these toys embody a harmonious relationship between art, nature, and culture.
Rooted in the values of simplicity, sustainability, and mindful creation, the collection captures the essence of Etikoppaka by translating its spirit into contemporary fashion. Rather than replicating the toys, it reinterprets their warmth, earthy aesthetics, and emotional depth, celebrating the quiet beauty of handcrafted traditions.
Conceptually aligned with the idea of Pause, the collection reflects a slower, more conscious approach to design—one that honors time-honored skills and cultural heritage in contrast to the pace of modern fast fashion. It serves as both a tribute to Indian artisans and a reminder of the emotional and ecological significance of handmade creations.
Through “Etikoppaka Echoes,” the designer invites the wearer to reconnect with indigenous knowledge systems and appreciate the sustainable beauty of tradition. The collection stands as a testament to India’s craft legacy, promoting mindful fashion that is both locally rooted and globally resonant.
