Sustainable Fashion Rooted in Nature

Supriya and Susmitha’s collection, Farm to Fashion, is a thoughtful exploration of eco-conscious design, rooted deeply in nature and sustainability. Winner of the Best Sustainable Pretwear Collection Award, this ready-to-wear line champions mindful choices—from fabric selection to finishing details—creating garments that are stylish, wearable, and kind to the Earth.

The collection incorporates fabrics like soya, flax, cotton, and jute—materials known for their eco-friendly properties and biodegradability. Using the eco-printing method with natural leaves and hand-applied paints, each piece becomes unique, visually connecting the wearer to the natural world. Additional design accents like coconut shell buttons and rope bring texture and originality, reinforcing the connection to organic, farm-based resources.

Natural dyes derived from onion peels, rose petals, and coffee beans add an earthy, muted palette, highlighting nature’s inherent beauty without the use of harmful chemicals. These conscious design decisions not only lower the environmental footprint but also celebrate the simplicity and elegance of sustainable fashion.

Farm to Fashion

Aligning with JDDA 2025’s theme — PAUSE, with its emphasis on “Prioritising a Unique Sense of Ease” — Farm to Fashion reminds us to slow down, reconnect with our roots, and make intentional choices in what we wear. It is a celebration of heritage, craftsmanship, and innovation — proof that fashion can be both eco-friendly and effortlessly chic.
