In a time when our unbridled consumption and complacency force us towards an uncertain destiny, Interlude – The Pause That Rewrote The Future, fashion collection by Tripti Shekhar and Komal Jangid is an insightful reflection and a reminder. This poignant fashion collection reminisces about the repercussions of human behavior that is propelling our world towards a dystopian existence. The way we live, consume, and ignore the signs of damage is quietly shaping a future that feels bleak — unless we intervene. Unless we pause.

In alignment with the college theme “PAUSE,” this anthology embodies that suspended, critical moment — an interlude — in which destruction hangs heavy, yet hope remains. It is in this pause that the future may be rewritten — wherein dystopia need not be the sole destiny, and a Eutopia, a superior, mindfully constructed world, can be formed.
The collection evolves as a visual poetry in ten garments. The opening pieces reflect a dystopian world sculpted by human irresponsible behavior through deconstructed silhouettes, distressed textures, and somber hues. At its core is one gentle garment depicting “the pause” — a frozen instant of vulnerability and stillness, alluding to the delicate chance of transformation.

From there, the collection transitions to optimistic space. The last pieces encapsulate rebirth — ethereal, flowing materials, embroidery that recalls nature, and colors that transition from subdued to radiant. Flaws are integral to the aesthetic, embracing resilience and mindful rebuild.
“Interlude – The Pause That Rewrote The Future” is more than a fashion collection. It is a call to consciousness. A reminder that we cannot turn back the damage that we have inflicted — but in the quiet of contemplation, we have the ability to rewrite the narrative. To stop, to restore, and select a future for living.
This is not just fashion — it’s a manifesto for thoughtful change.
