JD INSTITUTE OF
FASHION & TECHNOLOGY &
JD SCHOOL OF DESIGN
I am Navya B S and my JD Imagination Journey was full of learning and spectacular fun-filled activities. Condé Nast College of Fashion and Design gave me an opportunity to present the best of my ideas and further hone my skill sets. For street style photography, got to communicate with new people and understand their style. I chose a girl who had dressed in different shades of brown with an orange scarf and green bag which was popping out. She had styled it with black boots that looked classy.
Illustration was fun. I drew inspiration from a colourful print of an outfit that I saw at V&A exhibition. I used it to illustrate a colourful beachwear.
Putting up several classic wears together but not overwhelming the style was challenging. I paired it up with a classic black bodysuit and a beige frenchcoat, accessorised it with gold chains and earrings. To give it a more classy look I added black stockings and black boots. I wanted makeup to be really simple and natural, so I went for nude makeup.
I had chosen a blue handbag and I paired it up with black heels and placed it on a small shelf with white background. Getting the perfect angle was a major concern. However, things turned out well and I learnt a lot about flat lay styling.
