I am Rajeshwari C, a jewellery designer who went on the JD Imagination Journey to learn the importance of the styling aspect in the Industry. As a Jewellery designer it has been an eye-opening journey that helped me understand how the knowledge of styling can help me in presenting the best of my creations. l embarked on street style photography where I clicked the chic style of a girl. She was carrying the classic black and white look. She paired her look with black boots and a coat, adorning it with gold-toned jewellery pieces with her hair tied back in a clean way.
For the illustration assignment that I received from Conde Nast College of Fashion and Design, went tor a zigzag pattern of V&A Museum as my inspiration and designed a bodycon dress in the colours of blue, black and gold.
Next received the opportunity to have a professional photoshoot using classic styles. I chose 80s fashion as it was punk, powerful, grand and bright. I styled a classic denim skirt with bralette and denim jacket. I bejewelled the jacket with brooches and necklace to showcase the power of materialism.
Flat lay photography is an effective means of storytelling. I chose a silver metallic purse for this shoot and created an artistic look by just adding two elements; silver foil and a fork, in order to replicate a food photo without any morsels.
