“Tunneling Tapestry,” DUDEKULA ESAVALI crafts a visionary Fall/Winter 2026 collection inspired by one of nature’s most disciplined and unified species—the Lasius niger, or black garden ant. These tiny yet tireless creatures, known for building intricate underground colonies, become the metaphor for a world woven with precision, strength, and collective resilience.

Through surface ornamentation, Esavali brings the ant colony’s architectural brilliance to life. Tunnels, chambers, and nest structures are reinterpreted through meticulously embroidered motifs, layered textures, and geometric embellishments—each piece reflecting the harmony and purpose found in the ants’ subterranean worlds. Every detail pays tribute to their cooperative spirit and structured living.

The color palette is grounded in earthy tones—charcoal, deep soil brown, white —evoking the hidden depths of the underground. Fabrics are rich yet functional, draping into strong silhouettes that echo the balance of elegance and endurance.
Awarded the “Best Design Collection Award,” “Tunneling Tapestry” celebrates the beauty of working in unity, of thriving under pressure, and of building from the ground up—quietly, steadily, and with unwavering purpose.
