The collection Classic Street is feminine, yet has a touch of gender ambiguity. It brings in elements of military infused resort wear amalgamated with streetwear for classical chic aesthetic to balance volume. The silhouettes are heavily inspired by the current trends yet borrowing subtle elements from the Ashaninka tribe. Sustainable and eco-friendly yarns – bamboo charcoal and rose have been used to create hand-woven fabric, with patterns derived from the body paintings of the Kayapo Tribe. The colours, black and white used in the collection are also taken from the colours of the body paints. The collection is presented by Monalisa Dodda & Pooja Surana from the B.Sc. batch.
