Diploma in Interior Design August 2023 Students Showcase Fluid Art and Texture Art Masterpieces
Art has the power to transform spaces, and that’s precisely what Diploma in Interior Design August 2023 batch students showcased in their recent display held on 4th September 2023. The presentation was made after the workshop on fluid art and texture art conducted by Ms. Spurthi Satish and Ms. Saloni Mehta. In this blog, we will take you on a journey through their artistic exploration and the invaluable insights they gained into how these techniques can elevate interior design. The designs ranged from bold and eclectic to serene and minimalistic, reflecting the diverse personalities of the creators.
The Workshop Experience: Before diving into the stunning displays of student work, let’s set the stage by revisiting the workshop itself. Held in a creatively charged studio, the workshop was designed to bridge the gap between art and interior design. Students gathered to learn how the medium of paper, tissue, canvas and paint could become a powerful tool in the realm of interior aesthetics.
The Role of Materials: Understanding the materials used was a crucial first step. Canvas, paper and tissue paper, as a texture-enhancing element, became the foundation upon which the students built their artistic visions. This tactile experience gave them a deeper appreciation for the subtleties of these materials.
Fluid Art – Capturing Emotion in Colour: The students began their journey with fluid art, an expressive technique that involves the movement of paint to create dynamic compositions. As they mixed colours and observed how they interacted on the canvas, it became evident that this medium could be harnessed to evoke specific emotions and moods.
Texture Art – Crafting Dimension and Depth: Texture art, using paper and tissue, became the next focal point. Students discovered the remarkable versatility of the materials – how it could be layered, torn, and moulded to create intricate textures. These tactile elements could add depth and character to interior design projects.
Bridging Art and Interior Design: The real magic happened when students translated their newfound artistic skills into interior design concepts. They explored how fluid art could become a striking focal point on a feature wall or how texture art could add dimension to a room’s decor. The marriage of art and design was truly inspirational.
The Student Displays: Now, let’s shift our attention to the dazzling displays of student work. A classroom was transformed into an art gallery, showcasing a myriad of creative expressions. From fluid art pieces that seemed to dance with colour to texture art panels that begged to be touched, each exhibit radiated artistic excellence.
The workshop on fluid art and texture art was not just an artistic endeavour but an eye-opening exploration of how materials can enhance interior design. It showcased the seamless synergy between art and the spaces we inhabit.
For the new batch of Diploma in Interior Design August 2023 batch, the journey from workshop to canvas was a transformative one. It taught them that art is not confined to frames but can envelop us in our everyday surroundings. As they move forward in their design careers, they carry with them the profound understanding that art has the power to breathe life into interiors, making them more vibrant, emotive, and truly remarkable.
