Reflection, inspired by artist Devi Bai a 65 year old lady of the Lambani community specializes in the Lambani Embroidery – a traditional form of art which was used to create their colourful and vibrant attire. Lambani Embroidery is an amalgamation of 14 stitches and 13 colours. Mirror work is a unique feature of the Lambani handicraft. Devi Bai is happy and content that she has been able to keep the art form alive by being passionate enough to incorporate the art into other innovative forms.

Her willingness to share her traditionally treasured craft with the world – led to the crafts journey. The designer has used unique technique of fixing tiny mirrors on to the fabric using colourful and vibrant threads. The craft is rich in tradition – has a consistent colour palette, combination of stitches and choice of materials make it traditionally strong. The product designed is aesthetically very appealing and very symbolic to the tribe and their customs and traditions. The distinctiveness of the Lambani embroidery is the randon designs and bright colours that are so traditional to the tribe. Natural handloom fabric like Khadi and Jute are used to give a natural texture the product, the two natural fabrics – Khadi and Jute have been embellished with tiny mirrors to keep the craft in its most natural form. The product takes an oval form to create the Lambani Attire appeal to the product.
