JD Annual Design Awards 2016 – Untold Stories : “OPUS ANGLICANUM”
“Opus Anglicanum” is a collection for the modern woman who defines elegance with a hint of subtle opulence. The untold story revolves around an artisan named Firoz who has been working on the infamous “ Mukeish Badla” form of embroidery for over 16 years. The dying art form owes its roots to Lucknow and is most commonly known for its dot patterns. The collection will leave you mesmerized with the glamour it endorses, perfectly suitable for an evening wear. The slipper satin ivory fabric, called Lachka, is used in shades of blonde, quicksilver and high reflective white to add an aura of sheer elegance. The collection is presented by V. Dharani of B.Sc. Batch.
