Inspiration Board

A collection inspired by Bohemian-gypsy, ‘ZINGARA’ lets you breathe and feel the freedom. The designer and artist behind her inspiration is Marissa Miranda whose products are not just hand-made but  are an amalgamation of century-old crafts and modern design aesthetics.  This collection consists of dresses, shorts, rompers, shrugs and jackets covered in embroidery using soda and beer cans with traditional embroidery. ‘ZINGARA’ is an amalgamation of up-cycling of metals and traditional embroidery. This collection highlights the idea of up-cycling/re-cycling of metals like the soda and beer cans which is a current environmental issue of waste management. The metal/cans are cut into different shapes and in different sizes, secured by colorful threads into beautiful patterns. Short, mid-thigh length silhouettes, dresses, rompers, shorts, shrugs and jackets covered in attractive embroidery and colorful tassels are some elements of this collection.
