Designer Aayushi Sarin received the Special Jury Award from JD Design Awards 2022 for curating a one-stop destination for bookworms to read and interact. Her project named The Talking Book is a human library cafe where people can borrow a person to interact with and learn from their experiences. It is designed to inspire a group of bookworms by bridging the gap through curves. This human library cafe is designed to inspire a group of people who love to read to bridge the gap between the bookworms and find a corner through curves so they can read or work peacefully without getting disturbed.
In these times with increasing technology, human beings are getting disconnected with nature, The Talking Books has created a space that has no corners and is designed in a manner where corners of the space have been eliminated and replaced with curves.
To create this one of a kind space, the designer has used an earthy theme. The space comprises an earthy palette and rustic design style that catches the eyes as soon as one enters the space.
The design that is especially curated for the bibliophile received the Special Jury Award from JD Design Awards for its aesthetic and innovative design.
