Extendable Light – Curator – JD Annual Design Awards 2019 – Interior Design.

Designer ShikshaBohra;s product Extendable Light is inspired from the street lights.

Street lights are the one thing that we see on a daily basis while travelling from one place to another. These unique lights are preventing accidence from ages. The street lights work as a key light to the certain area and the height of the street lights provide the more prominent light effect to a larger area.

The designer has been inspired by the street lights and designed an Extendable Light that can be extended anytime with the choice of the user. The unique light is made with Stainless steel extendable pole, LED light, Spiral wire, Wooden plank which is to represent the wall. The three feet long hollow metal rod which can be extended anytime. The end of the long tube hangs a LED light which makes the user do their respective work in an easier manner and also lights up space when turned upwards. The product can be moved physically by using your own hand. One of the most important features of this product is the functionality and also the way the user adjust the place of work and the room. The customers can change the height of the pole with respect to their size of room or workspace. The product can be moved from right to leave, extended to a 1feet to 3 feet and can be turned upwards so that it acts as an ambient light/accent light. (Lighting up the room/focusing on a particular wall or an object).
