The collection is inspired by a rural society of handicrafts in West Bengal, Shantiniketan, where artisans come from different cultures to work together. This collection depicts hand crafted fabric named Batik, which is a versatile medium of expression of art for an artist. This art form needs to undergo the delicate and repeated process of waxing, dyeing and boiling. The collection highlights the idea of modified Malaysian batik patterns through fine textured silk fabric and vegetable dyes. It reflects royalty and modernity through an old form of art.
