JD Institute of Fashion Technology students, known for their talent in the world of fashion, have set the stage on fire channeling the hidden singer and musician in them at the highly-anticipated JD Music Band auditions.
Students who pursue various fashion courses at the prestigious JD Institute of Fashion Technology are now united by another common passion – Music.
The audition venue was packed with enthusiastic faces, who awaited their turn with bated breath. Definitely a kaleidoscope of colours that the world never knew it needed!
The making of JD Music Band
The JD Music Band auditions registrations opened arms to 21 participates exclusively for students and faculty of JD Institute of Fashion Technology on Friday, August 6 on the Brigade Road campus.
The students exhibited their musical talent like singing, beatboxing, Djing and playing instruments to make it to the main JD Music band.
Qualifying participants will then make it to JD Music Band, soon to be one of the power-packed bands in the city.
The band is set to include the best of singers, guitarists, beatboxers, DJ and other musical talents.
During the auditions, Coronavirus protocols like physical distance, face masks, sanitisers were encouraged through the show.
Music and style jamming together

During the auditions, the students were exhilarated strumming their Ukulele’s and singing their hearts out. From Ed Sheeran songs to melodious Tamil songs not only were the performances powerful but their style quotient was also on par with their musical skills.

From beatboxing to EDM, classical music to pop songs – the students covered every genre of music in style flaunting the latest style trends like off shoulders, big daddy sneakers, oversized aviators, tribal jewellery, baggy pants and more.

What was unmissable was students performed in outfits that blended with the music and choice of songs they picked. Be it flaunting mini-skirts with sneakers while humming Taylor Swift songs or dressing in all black for soft rock music, the students are sure to create a band not just high on music quotient but fashion as well.

With ramp walks, fashion videos, fashion shows, makeup tutorials, music and fashion have come a long way together. This time the students at JD Institute of Fashion Technology decided to create their own music and flaunt their own styles.
Was the music influenced by fashion or was it the other way around? Nevertheless, the students did justice to their act in terms of both fashion and music. Having said that, Bengaluru will very soon witness the sounds of JD Music band – the most stylish music band of the city.
