March 2025 at JD Institute of Fashion Technology was a thrilling month filled with rewarding workshops, motivational seminars, and industry events that offered students fruitful opportunities to learn, network, and develop. From VFX and animation to design competitions and real-time rendering, the activities were structured to provide hands-on experience with industry experts and ensure creative collaborations. MnR Decor Workshop: Creating the Future
The MnR Decor Workshop was a great chance for students to learn from professionals with much experience in design contests. Practically oriented, the workshop offered students a platform where they could gain experience of the complexities of design contests and how to approach them from a professional point of view. With a range of information presented by industry experts, it was an inspiring session that made the students think beyond books and understand what goes into winning design competitions.
VFX Master Class: A Glimpse of Unreal Engine
For students interested in a career in VFX and animation, the VFX Master Class on Unreal Engine was a true motivation. Chaired by two industry professionals—Mr. Kondal Rao, FX Artist, and Mr. Rohith Kumar, Compositor Artist, Pixelloid Studios—the workshop delved into the interesting arena of VFX with Unreal Engine. Held for JD Institute students, the event was a rare chance for the students to gain insights on the most recent methods and trends in visual effects from professionals in the field. At the Enscape workshop, students had an opportunity to acquire knowledge on how Unreal Engine is revolutionizing the landscape of the VFX business and what benefits for development it will bring forth to assist with their creative entrepreneurial endeavors.
Enscape Workshop: Elevating The Height of Design Visualisation
With the Enscape Workshop, students experienced the unique advantage of insight to access knowledge about methodologies of visualization as well as methods of real-time rendering. Enscape, a wonderful tool for architects and designers, allows them to produce engaging 3D experiences and realistic renderings in real time. The workshop was ideal for students who wanted to develop their design skills and learn new methods for presenting their projects more dynamically. At JD Institute of Fashion Technology, the session “The Assertive Teacher: Inspire, Influence, Impact” by Siddhi Jain empowered teachers with real-world communication skills. Teachers became aware of asserting authority without coming across as aggressive, which was essential for the fashion-oriented learning environment. With engaging exercises, the session built confidence and competency among educators to handle classroom dynamics, creating a harmonious yet disciplined learning environment. Educators departed the workshop empowered to motivate students, guide their learning process, and leave a lasting impression on their learning journey.
GAFX 2025: World Animation Leader, VFX, and Games
GAFX 2025, Bengaluru, was a milestone experience for JD Institute students. Dedicated to each year with the support of the Government of Karnataka, GAFX is a celebratory platform for the animation, VFX, and gaming sector. JD Institute students got a chance to visit and participate in panel discussions, live competitions and interact with top-notch studios. The event gave them first-hand exposure to industry experts, allowing for talent scouting and partnership opportunities. JD Institute’s attendance at GAFX 2025 exposed the students to the latest trends and technology in animation and VFX on a first-hand basis.
Adobe Make It Summit 2025: Unveiling Future Creative Technology
The Adobe Make It Summit 2025, which took place on March 6th at the JW Marriott Bangalore, was another March highlight. This VIP event was an immersive one that provided a glimpse into Adobe’s vision for the future of creative technology. Participants, including JD Institute’s very own Mr. Pradyumna P.S. and Ms. Aarthi, were able to experience Adobe’s newest Generative AI tools, including Adobe Firefly, which is revolutionizing real-time content creation. The summit also included workshops with professionals from companies such as Swiggy, Intel, and Accenture, providing the participants with an opportunity to learn about leading design tools and network with other professionals in the design community.
Industry Connect: Readying for the Professional World
Final-year Interior Design students found the Industry Connect session to be full of useful information. The session, in association with AITI Interieurs, was to acclimatize students to the workplace. Industry trends, collaborations, and skills needed were introduced to the students. The skills required were the instrument to success in the current competitive age of interior design. The session was to bridge the gap between book learning and actual practice, providing students with the tool kit required for a successful career.

The workshops and seminars provided students with a blend of practical learning, industry exposure, and creative inspiration.
