1.Rooted in Culture,Builtfor the Stage — Designing Sapna Chaubey’s National Costume for Miss Grand India
Representing Telangana on the national stage, Miss Grand Telangana is a vision of power, heritage, and grace.

She is draped in the timeless elegance of a Narayanpet saree, reimagined through fluid, sculptural forms inspired by Perini Shivatandavam—the ancient warrior dance that embodies rhythm, strength, and spiritual intensity. The ensemble is anchored by an exquisite Pembarthi metal corset, reflecting Telangana’s rich craft legacy and symbolizing resilience, structure, and divine power.
Echoing the cosmic energy of Nataraja, every fold and form captures the eternal dance of creation and destruction—where movement becomes expression and strength becomes art. Extending this narrative are the majestic blue wings inspired by the Palapitta, the Indian Roller and the revered state bird of Telangana. A symbol of victory and auspicious beginnings, the Palapitta is believed to be a divine messenger, associated with Lord Shiva and the triumph of

Lord Rama—bringing with it a sense of hope, elevation, and spiritual grace.

This ensemble is more than a costume—it is Telangana brought to life. A seamless blend of tradition and power, grace and fierceness, she does not just wear the story—she becomes it.
2. Creative Learning Weekend Workshop Series — Episode 4: 3D Mural Art

Episode 4 of our Creative Learning Weekend Workshop Series took creativity to an entirely new dimension — quite literally. This session was dedicated to the captivating art of 3D mural painting, where flat surfaces are reimagined as living, breathing visual experiences that challenge the eye and reward the viewer.
Participants explored the principles of perspective, depth, texture, and visual illusion, learning how to breathe life into an ordinary wall and make art that commands attention from across the room. The transformation was remarkable. It was a powerful reminder that…

3. Where Design Meets Technology: JD Hyderabad x Magic Bus India x IBM
Design education at JD Hyderabad has always been about staying ahead, and this four-day intensive workshop was a powerful step in that direction. JD Hyderabad joined forces with Magic Bus India and IBM for an immersive AI-focused workshop that brought together the worlds of design thinking and emerging technology in a way that was both inspiring and deeply practical. Over the course of four days, students were introduced to the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence and its growing role in shaping the future of creative industries.

From AI-powered design applications to real-world problem-solving
challenges, every session was built to push students out of their comfort zones and into the mindset of a future-ready creative professional. What made this experience particularly valuable was its emphasis on application. Students were not passive observers — they were active participants, building, experimenting, and finding ways to integrate technology meaningfully into their creative practice. Over four intensive days, they discovered that AI is not a replacement for creativity — it is a powerful extension of it. In recognition of their commitment and participation, students also received certifications upon successful completion of the workshop—a testament to their dedication and readiness to lead in an AI-driven creative world. The institution remains committed to ensuring that its students are not just prepared for the future; they are ready to lead it.
4. Site Visit: KOHLER Studio

For Interior Design students, the most powerful learning often happens not in the classroom, but in the spaces where design is actually lived and experienced. The visit to KOHLER Studio was exactly that kind of moment. Our interior design students stepped into one of the most respected names in bathroom and spatial design and left with a significantly deeper understanding of how thoughtful interiors function at every level. The visit offered a hands-on Exploration of bathroom design, plumbing systems, sanitation principles, materials, fittings, and spatial detailing that rarely makes it into a textbook but matters enormously in professional practice.
Moving through the studio, students encountered a curated range of WCs, faucets, finishes, and design concepts that demonstrated how functionality and aesthetics are not competing priorities — they are complementary ones. Seeing these decisions executed at the standard of KOHLER gave students an invaluable benchmark for excellence and a clearer understanding of how material selection, product specification, and spatial planning come together in real interior projects. The KOHLER team was generous with their time, thorough in their guidance, and warm in their welcome throughout — a timely reminder that great design education extends well beyond the campus, into every showroom and studio willing to open its doors.
5. Textile Processing Module Display — MSCFD Batch 2025
Creative work deserves to be seen, and the Textile Processing Module Display did exactly that. The MSCFD 2025 batch brought to life a rich and varied world of textile surface design through an inspiring showcase that was as technically impressive as it was visually compelling. From the precision of block printing and the graphic boldness of stencil art to the organic charm of vegetable printing, the intricate tie-work of bandhani, and the wax-resist artistry of batik, each technique represented a distinct creative language, and each student brought their own voice to it.

What made the showcase particularly compelling was the depth of exploration evident in every sample. These were not mere exercises in replication; they were genuine investigations into surface, texture, pattern, and process. Students engaged with each technique thoughtfully, understanding not just how it works, but why it works, and how it can be pushed further through creative application and material awareness. Innovation, craftsmanship, and creative courage — all of it was visible, all of it on the wall.
6. Design Process Module — Garment Display & Magazine Launch | ADFD Batch 2025
From mood board to final stitch, the ADFD 2025 batch turned their design journey into a full celebration. Each garment on display was the result of a complete process: research, concept, fabric selection, construction, and presentation.
Marking the batch’s transition from students learning the craft to young creatives with a point of view worth publishing. The garments showcased a breadth of aesthetic voices, each designer bringing their own sensibility while demonstrating a solid command of the fundamentals—a proud record of everything this batch has already become.

7. Surface Design Technique Module — ADFD 2025
The silhouette catches the eye — but it is surface design that captures the imagination. The ADFD 2025 students brought this truth to life through a vibrant showcase of artwork, textile embellishments, expressive illustrations, and handcrafted compositions. Every piece highlighted their deep understanding of colour, texture, pattern, and storytelling — proving that design is not just about aesthetics, but about communication, culture, and personal expression.

8. Pattern Making & Garment Construction — ADFD 2025
From the first pattern draft to the final stitched garment, the ADFD 2025 students demonstrated the technical skill and creative dedication that fashion design demands. Finished garments were displayed alongside their pattern templates — offering a rare window into the precision and planning behind every piece.

It was a showcase that celebrated not just what was made, but everything that went into making it.
