JD Hyderabad’s February calendar featured fashion experimentation, industry-led photography engagement, and action-packed sports events, highlighting all-round development and creative excellence.    

Paper Play Activity: 

For our newest students DFD February 2026, draping is quickly becoming more than just a lesson in fabric manipulation. it’s about technique, vision, and structure. It’s about understanding the “why” behind every design decision. In our Paper Play Activity, students explored the fundamentals of draping using simple sheets of paper. proving that creativity doesn’t depend on expensive materials, but on imagination and skill.

Beyond the Saree Styling – Intra Department Contest: 

Students truly owned the ramp by transforming unstitched fabrics into striking statement drapes, proving that fashion goes far beyond conventional styling. Moving away from the usual saree silhouettes, they experimented with structure, layering, and bold concepts to bring fresh, out-of-the-box ideas to life.  

The intra-department styling contest became a vibrant showcase of creativity, confidence, and technical understanding, where every fold and flow of fabric reflected vision and individuality.  

VIVO PhotoGraphy Workshop: 

JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Hyderabad, in collaboration with vivo, is organizing a Photography Workshop aimed at highlighting the impact of modern technology in contemporary fashion photography. This initiative is designed to equip students with practical knowledge of digital imaging, mobile photography techniques, and visual storytelling, essential skills for building strong fashion portfolios, branding, and digital presence. 

The 2–3 hour workshop will include an interactive indoor session led by a certified vivo trainer, focusing on fashion-oriented composition, lighting techniques, and advanced camera features. This will be followed by a guided photography walk and live demonstration, offering students hands-on experience in capturing garments, textures, and styling concepts in real-time. 

Participants will receive certificates of participation and gifts from vivo, making this workshop both a valuable learning experience and an engaging industry interaction opportunity. 

From sharp, calculated caroms strikes that demanded precision and focus, to intense chess battles where every move required strategy and foresight, the competition was filled with concentration and skill. The tension rose even higher during the Jenga rounds, where steady hands and calm nerves made all the difference as each block pulled brought the tower closer to collapse. Throughout the day, students displayed determination, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm, keeping the atmosphere lively and the excitement constant from start to finish. 

Double the Energy – Day 02: 

Arm wrestling brought pure strength and determination to the forefront, with every match showcasing focus, grit, and competitive spirit. Skipping added rhythm and stamina to the day, as participants kept the momentum high with speed and endurance. The excitement continued with Dumb Charades, where quick thinking, teamwork, and expressive performances kept everyone entertained. 

From strength to strategy to fun-filled moments, the energy was unstoppable. 

The day was filled with good vibes, healthy competition, and unwavering team spirit. Every participant gave their best, showing focus, determination, and solid effort throughout. From start to finish, the energy stayed high and the sportsmanship stayed stronger. 

Outdoor Energy Unleashed: 

The grounds came alive with energy and enthusiasm as the Outdoor Sports Meet 2026 set the stage for power-packed performances and unforgettable moments. With determination in their stride and team spirit in full swing, our Jediiians stepped onto the field ready to compete, collaborate, and conquer. 

From commanding cricket shots that echoed across the field to high-speed relay races fueled by coordination and stamina, every event reflected focus and fierce competitiveness. Kho Kho tested agility and swift reflexes, while badminton matches highlighted precision, control, and strategic gameplay. Tug of War brought teams together in a true display of unity, strength, and collective resilience. 

Beyond the medals and victories, the day celebrated perseverance, sportsmanship, and the unstoppable spirit of participation. Outdoor Sports Meet 2026 was not just about winning . it was about pushing limits, building camaraderie, and embracing the thrill of the game.
