72^nd Independence Day Celebrations at JD Institute, Bangalore, India

Independence Day make us remember the sacrifices made by the great leaders of our country to get us freedom. The spirit of Independence Day inspires us and reminds us about the patriots and martyrs who laid down their lives for the country. Every Indian around the world celebrates Independence Day with great devotion and happiness.
To mark the 72 nd anniversary of India’s & tryst with destiny on 15th August 2017, JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore, India celebrated the Independence Day to experience the spirit of patriotism and to honour the glorious past of our country once again.

Independence Day was celebrated with great respect and enthusiasm, the ceremony started at 8 am in the Brigade Road Campus, Bangalore – with the JEDIIIANS and JD staff. The celebration began with flag hoisting by Mr Nealesh Dalal – Managing Trustee of JD Educational Trust accompanied by Ms Sandra Agnes Sequeria, Director South and Mr Babu Rajendra Prasdh, Principal, JD Institute followed by students singing Jana Gana Mana, the National Anthem of India and expressed the joy of our freedom. He inspired the students to develop devotion for the Nation and BENICE towards others, love all and bring glory to the country.
The cultural programme started with lighting of the lamp and the event moved on with the performances of JEDIIIANS who took the stage and energised the crowd by tapping their feet on the Bollywood beats. There was a skit about gender bias, one of the social issues happening around. Students gave the meaningful speech on the significance of the Independence Day, spot painting on the theme of Independence Day, along with elocution, poetry recitation etc.
Every year JD Institute does a yearlong CSR Initiative, and this year our CSR campaign “Be Nice” kick-started on August 15th. The aim is to spread a message to all on the importance of being nice, to their jobs, body, society, gender etc.

The true freedom means when we make sure to BeNice to everyone in our country and make our nation a better place for everyone to live and experience the peace, freedom and unity in diversification. Jai Hind!!!
