July at JD Institute was full of energy, creativity, and new beginnings. From students showcasing industry-ready portfolios to welcoming new batches and opening doors to exciting fashion designer careers, the campus buzzed with activity. Here is a look back at the key JD Institute July highlights that defined this month.
Shaping Visual Stories: Graphic Design Portfolio Jury & Display

Students from the Diploma in Graphic Design held their end-of-semester display and jury evaluation. Moving through the exhibit felt like stepping into a gallery of contemporary brand aesthetics.
Students enrolled in our graphic design course and visual communication course presented complete brand identities, creative ad campaigns, and magazine layouts. Beyond visual flair, the jury emphasized the narrative behind each graphic design portfolio, evaluating how effectively students solved real-world communication challenges.
From Concept to Precision: Interior Design Drafting Module Display

Precision meets imagination in the world of spatial design. Students pursuing our Diploma in Interior Design presented their module-end display focused on architectural drafting.
The exhibition highlighted technical accuracy, spatial awareness, and structural documentation. Students in this Interior Design course demonstrated mastery over line weights, orthographic projections, section drawings, and interior detailing—proving that a strong technical foundation is essential for turning creative spatial concepts into reality
Tactile Creativity: Punch Needle Embroidery & Craft Workshops

July offered plenty of opportunities for creative experimentation across different media:
-
Punch Needle Embroidery Workshop: This session introduced students to traditional punch needle embroidery techniques. Learners explored textured textile craft design, turning raw yarn into soft, structured patterns.
-
Origami Cube & Balloon Night Lamp Making: Students pursuing BDES fashion design, interior design, and visual communication participated in exploratory paper craft sessions. Exercises like cube paper folding taught students geometric balance, structural integrity, and form development.
Launching Professional Careers: Campus Recruitment Drive 2026

Bridging academics with industry opportunities, the Department of Fashion organized a campus recruitment drive. Top apparel and retail brands—including Arvind, The Bear House, and Threads and Textures—visited the campus to evaluate portfolios and interview prospective graduates.
This initiative opened pathways for high-value fashion design jobs, empowering students to step directly into the industry. From haute couture concepts to commercial menswear, graduates demonstrated the professional readiness required to launch a successful fashion designer career.
Welcoming the Future: Orientation Days for July 2026 Batches

July also marked the beginning of academic journeys for hundreds of aspiring designers, welcoming new cohorts across undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma tracks.
The orientation welcomed incoming learners across MSc Fashion Design, MSc Interior Design, MBA in Fashion Management, and the Diploma in Fashion Design program, setting the stage for an inspiring academic year.
