‘Anant’ : JD Annual Design Awards: PURE 2015

The collection draws its inspiration from the world of numbers, “GANITHA” which means mathematics. The concept of the collection refers to the idea of “ANANT” which means “INFINITY”. Anant means ‘endless’, ‘limitless’, ‘continuous’, ’eternal’.
After an intensive research on “Anant” the young designers have concluded to work on a unique concept of “continuous”. The continuity can be shown in several ways like continuity through lines, continuity through spirals, continuity through endlessness and continuity through repeating patterns. “Continuity through spirals” forms the main crux of this collection, represented through garments consisting of spirals which represent continuity. In a monochromatic cooler palette, the garment details include foam painting, padded shoulders and 3D embossed texture.
Titled ‘Anant’, the design collection is presented by Preeti V.E., M.D.S.V Nikita and K. Vijayalakshmi.
