“The Avengers” : JD Annual Design Awards – PURE 2015
The Avengers, is a popular American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. The characters of the movie are identified by their individual traits and commanding skills and the same is captured in the collection through its unique garment story. For the designers of this collection , the elements of advance science is inspiring and goes beyond the idea of imagination, and that gave them a solid reason to chose Avengers as a subject.
The colour palettes are inspired by the original costumes of the series. The costume nature of the garments is translated into a wearable version, where cottons and leather deconstructs the natural body shapes.
Titled ‘The Avengers’, the design collection is presented by Krithika Venkatesh , Swetha Prabhakar, Kavya Shree, Suma C, and Madhu Yannam.
