“The Facet” : JD Annual Design Awards :PURE 2015
The minute you look at playing cards, you observe how symmetrical and structured they are. There are four different categories in a set of cards: Jack, King, Queen, and Ace. Through these 4 different categories, the collection aims to project four different seasons and how clothes vary in different seasons. The inspiration for this collection is the structured look of the elements in the cards, replication of images upside down, embellished looks of face cards and geometrical prints of the elements.
The interplay of symmetry, grace, perfection and elegance merges with the architectural essence of the cards. The idea is to create a timeless collection that embodies the fashion-forward spirit of the seasons.
