HOW TO STAY POSITIVE WHILE YOU ARE POSITIVE?
The deadly Covid-19 virus has been proving to us that each day the battle is only going to get tougher and it is here to stay for a while. During this hassled time we as humans who are subjected to it must know how to take precautionary measures against it. While most of us are living in fear, some are affected and others are carefree about the whole situation and have to be well aware and updated about the virus to fight it. At the same time, while we learn about the precautionary measures, we must also stay positive to ward off the deadly pandemic.
Ever since WHO has declared the virus as Airborne it almost seems impossible to even take a breath of fresh air without our masks. So how do we stay positive in such a situation? But, before we learn to stay positive while we are affected, it is best to be aware of the precaution and preventive measures that one can take to dodge the virus.
Precaution and Prevention to Combat Covid-19
Wear A Mask– While you step out for your home make sure you wear a mask and cover it completely over your nose and mouth. Don’t touch the outer surface of the mask. As soon as you get back home, wash the mask with Dettol, and dry it well.
Wash your hands often/ Sanitize– While washing your hands is considered a better way to ward germs off your hands, but while we are outside it’s always better to carry a sanitizer and sanitize your hands frequently.
Social Distancing – Maintain a safe distance from people at least 5m while waiting in line. Don’t walk or sit too close to people.
Isolate– even if you feel mild discomfort or think you could have contracted the virus be considerate about others and stay at home if unwell.
Lately, we have been noticing a pattern where most of those who have followed the above precautionary measures have still not been able to prevent being affected by the virus. So how does one navigate through, when you are Positive?
As of now following the precautionary measures and staying mentally strong are the biggest tools at our disposal. But staying mentally strong while being affected by the most deadly virus is no piece of cake. We must stay positive and support those who we know are affected. Often engage in calls/ conversations, watch movies, practise your favourite hobbies, divert your mind with a good book and most importantly soothe your mind by practising meditation and keeping yourself fit with exercise/physical yoga.
It is vital to be aware of the facts and not be misled by false sites and news about the virus. Always stay alert.
The main focus is to NOT PANIC. Fear can consume you faster than the virus. Hence through every negative thought , remember ‘This Too Shall Pass’!
The damage caused by the pandemic is permanent. Life shall not be as relaxed and easy as it used to be. It will never be the same. However, life must go on and we need to adapt to the ‘New Normal’. We need to make the choice to fight resistance, thrive through the new reality, expand our horizons and RISE AGAIN!
