JD Institute Celebrates Fresher’s Day – Novato Fiesta
The senior jediiians organized a fun-filled fresher’s party for the new batch of design aspirants at Bombay Adda Lounge, Bengaluru. Keeping in line with the theme of the bash – Novato Fiesta (Retro Rhapsody), the fresher’s came dressed in their fashionable best. The seniors as well as the faculties too adhered to the theme and flaunted some classic retro sartorial elegance.
The main motto behind this event was to strengthen the bond with juniors and interact with the faculty and college. It gave an opportunity to create a rapport with others. The seniors organized a variety of entertainment programmes for the fresher’s. On one hand the students from the entire department danced to the beat of old 80’s songs and on the other hand, there were students who showcased the latest fashion accompanied by the foot tapping music. The entire atmosphere was reverberating with the melodies of both old and new songs.
The highlight of the event was ‘Mr and Miss Fresher’s contest’ that saw a bevvy of students showcasing their talent and setting the stage on fire which made difficult for the faculties to decide upon the results. The event was later marked with cake cutting ceremony and Mr Nealesh Dalal (managing trustee) at JD Institute of Fashion Technology who acknowledged the young creative aspirants and lauded the seniors for the effort they put in to organize the bash. It was a fun and frolic event for everyone at JD Institute and the event was a perfect moment for the students to blend in with the day of food, music, and dance.
