The theme for WAC2020 was crafted around Sustainability which is imperative for our planet and the existence of human life. Being a strong advocate of Sustainability since 2015, it also forms one of the three pillars of JD Institute with the other two being Ethical and Innovation. JD strongly practices and advocates sustainability among its students and has set precedence in all aspects of its work as well. The aim is to create conscious change makers who are aware of the repercussion of their actions on the planet and consumers. The installation emphasises on the crisis situation created by Plastic wastage alongwith non-biodegradable discarded materials like ewaste, covers, garbage bags, metal pieces, wires, ropes etc. The message of the works encouraged the viewers to dwell on the consumerist mindset alongwith being conscious of their choices. The installations – Pralaya and Nimius Plastico represented man-made created wastage and questioned the blatant disregard for the environment and the aftermath.
