Making the Perfect Kitchen – Talk Session by Nolte, India
Kitchen space plays a very important in role in any house and organization, the informal gathering of a family or professional people always happens in the kitchen. One of the major challenges an Interior Designer will face is decorating the space to give it a comfortable environment. JD Institute of Fashion Technology invited NOLTE, India to come down and do a session with our Interior Design Course students.
Nolte founded in 1923 by Georg Nolte in Germany, over the years the company grown into one of the biggest company for kitchens. As of 2017, they have their presence in India in 15 cities. Nolte is known for its constant thirst for new design and technology also exceptional in functionality. Every Nolte product is built in Germany to make sure the quality is maintained.
The talk started with the welcoming of our guests from Nolte India – Mr Alok Duggal (Director, India) & Ms Parul Gupta (Principal Designer, India) and our alumni Ms Sneha Sharma & Ms Meghana Bharadwaj (Design Consultants).
The talk then preceded with an interactive session by Mr Alok and Ms Parul, where they spoke about present trend in modular kitchens, the materials used, the importance of anthropometry in designing kitchens and how every unit has to be custom made as per each client requirements. To make the session more interesting, they picked out the tallest & shortest people from the audience to ask them about the comforts & discomforts they face in their everyday life due to anthropometric differences. Later, they started a Q&A session with the audience where the students took part enthusiastically.
They also presented few videos about the history of Nolte & showed us a small footage of a client’s house which was done by Nolte India.
In the end, the alumni students of JD, Ms Meghana B & Ms Sneha Sharma spoke to the students regarding their experience at JD Institute as students & at JDADA and also shared about how the working experience has moulded them in the industry.
The vote of thanks was delivered by a JEDIIIAN – Ms Tina, and the guests were presented with a token of appreciation & bouquets.
