Teacher’s Day Celebration At JD Institute, Bangalore
A teacher guides their students to do what’s best for them. They have the powerful weapon to impart knowledge into one’s mind. Some teachers have the exceptional quality of teaching that helps us learn more than what’s in textbooks. They teach us how to survive the real world, teach us values that must stay embedded in our hearts, and some tell us stories that are incredibly inspiring that instils motivation in all of us. Hence, this Teacher’s Day, at JD Institute of Fashion Technology Bangalore, we celebrated these kind souls.
Just as the rest of India celebrates teachers and the hard work they put into imparting knowledge to every student, JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Bengaluru also celebrated Teacher’s Day with the same enthusiasm and zeal. Here’s a small glimpse of it for you.
The Jediiian Design Council worked together for days back to back to set up a special occasion as a token of gratitude and appreciation for the teachers. The teachers were welcomed with mesh stands that showcased their caricatures and little notes from each student for them. Following that the students and the faculty gathered together to celebrate the spirited occasion of Teacher’s Day. The teachers were received by the traditional practice of greeting them with the Guru Mantra. The occasion consisted of students singing songs, contests like musical chairs, housie and loads of laughter and entertainment. The caricature badges that were presented as a token of appreciation and love is something that received an overwhelming response. Event winners were presented with bonuses.
Seeing smiles from the people who we usually see stressed, building a relationship beyond just the four walls of our classroom, Being finally able to say it out loud about how we as students struggle with our assignments and exams, realising that they were all once in our shoes too and faced it and are here doing what they could do the best. Every part of the event was more than just a formal set-up. It was a special occasion, an occasion that helped us connect to them more and built an emotional bond.
The event ended with a cake-cutting ceremony with the entire team. On this grand day we also understood the importance of classroom learning and how a teacher plays a significant role in our lives. As we shared our joy and laughter with our mentors, we realised their effort that they put in making us a good human being.
