THE HEART HAS REASON TO BE HAPPY – VALENTINE’S DAY CELEBRATION
Love is universal and surpasses boundaries, culture and even language. However, the way love is expressed differs across the world. Bringing the essence of the month of love, JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Cochin rang in Valentine’s Day with some fun-filled activities for students and faculties alike at the campus on 14th February 2020.
The festivities were spread across a week leading up to the D Day, wherein a secret valentine was picked for each student. The mystery was to be unravelled on Valentine’s Day during the celebrations. The day was lined up with a number of activities that had the students and faculties on their toes. The line up included mesmerising dance performances and love letter writing competition – which brought out the romantics in some, whereas, some had misadventures with their writing. Various activities had students and faculties grooving to some foot-tapping music, impromptu performances and fun games that had everyone experience a hearty time.
The campus was decorated with heart-shaped red balloons, lifelines made out of interlocking red and white coloured paper rings along with a photo booth that brought out the feeling of love. The exchange of roses, rejection, and acceptance of proposals made the vibe of D Day. Secret Valentines – gave gifts to each other on this very special occasion and unraveled the mystery on the day of celebration.
Faculties and students had a fun time, enjoying the special day of the month of love.
