prefabricated homes

The world is moving fast, and so are our houses! Decoding that line, the topic here is laying an insight on futuristic architecture – prefabricated homes. Prefabricated homes, or informally called prefab, are houses manufactured off-site in advance, and the customised sections are easily shipped and assembled. The houses include architectural details inspired by postmodernism or futuristic architecture. Prefabricated homes are affordable living especially, during a pandemic like this. As they are built in a factory as opposed to on-site, the benefit is that you do not have a lot of different crew, coming in at different times. There are a bunch of employees working at the factory. Therefore, the houses are built much quicker and at a lower cost. Basically the roofs, the walls, the foundation, the cabinetry, the faucets, it’s all happening under one roof!

If you are thinking that this can be possible only with current advanced technology then heads up, you are wrong!

It’s crazy when you think about houses today being kind of the last big item built in our culture, that is not a built-in factory and why exactly is that? Let’s think about all the benefits that come from a factory including the customisation of one’s own home. Just as much thought is being put into building these houses. With some great choices in materials and construction techniques, these houses can be made high performing and well-installing houses. Prefabricated homes are the future of housing! Not only for the economy but also for environmental purposes.

How are the Prefabricated homes ,an approach to futuristic architecture with respect to Sustainability?

They are acclaimed to be cost-effective, modish and sustainable; it is no wonder that Prefabricated homes are being embraced with open arms by many. ‘Prefab Homes’ can no longer be compared to modern mobile homes. In terms of modernist movements, prefabs are built on modern designs with the usage of ‘green’ materials in construction, making them futuristic not just in terms of design but also in terms of sustainable vision and economic responsibilities.

Consumers can easily select between different environmentally friendly designs and wall systems. Since these homes are built in parts, it is easy for the consumer to add any additional rooms or solar panels to the roofs and make any required customizations. Many prefab houses can be built according to the client’s specific location and climate, thus making them a lot more flexible and modern than before.

Humanity continuously hopes for a better tomorrow. We may not be able to change the past, but we can work towards creating a tough and better future. Who better than Architects to ‘shape’ our future responsibly. While they make futuristic responsible progress, let us not forget to make our current thoughts and actions responsible too.
