Campus Placement Drive for Central was held at JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore campus on the 31st of March 2021. Bangalore Central being one of the prime clothing Departmental store spread across India, came in to select the eligible student as an Intern. The session was led by Mr. Manikandan, Store Visual Merchandiser and Mr. Gouthamraj Kulal, Head of Visual Merchandising.

The session began with an introduction about the company and the job profile. They spoke about how Central caters to 500+ brand for Men, Women and kids clothing and how the Visual Merchandise changes according to the season and on what’s trending. The introduction also included the details about Central, being present in 23 cities and having 46 malls, over 60,000 to 500000 sq. ft. across India. The students were then told to check the Central Instagram Handle and asked to review and give their feedback and showed how to analyze the social media page regarding Fashion.

The students were then guided into the job profile and the skills they were looking for, by the interviewers. About the daily affairs of ideating new concepts for the Social Media and the store visual merchandise. Creating Styling Dockets for the upcoming seasons according to the trends and told the students about the procedures to make a docket in the styles available in the store. After the presentation the students had an Interview wherein they were questioned and reviewed based on their speaking skills and their styling works submitted.

Based on the required skills the interviewers chose the best candidates fit for the organization. A total of 9 students were recruited for the Styling Internship at Central. The interviewers were happy about the student’s interests and the way they reciprocated to this session. They applauded the institute for imparting good knowledge to the students and appreciated the way they conducted themselves during the interview.
