Fierte Du Corps- Sync- JD Design Awards 2022

The collection Fierte Du Corps of JD Design Awards 2022 was designed by Harshika Gotawat and Nikita Nahar from BSC FAD. Their inspiration is Kintsugi, Japanese pottery art where all the broken pieces of the pot are brought together with the golden lacquer to make the broken pot beautiful again which hints at embracing the  flaws.

The designers through their collection are showing their concept against body shaming. The designers decided to work on this topic to bring change and break the stereotypes built by the society and fashion industry and to embrace beauty. Their colour palette is of earthy shades like brown which relates to pottery. The golden colour is the highlighting one that is used in the embroidery works on the garment. Their collection is of ten garments, five garments for slim people and five garments  for plus size people. They have implemented their inspiration in their collection by visually representing one’s emotions in the garments. The fabric that they have used is satin. The designers through their collection wanted to convey that one should be proud of their body and themselves.
