For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a love for makeup. I was the friend who always offered to help others get ready for weddings and events, but for the longest time, I never really thought of turning it into a career. It felt like a dream that was maybe too far-fetched. Life moved on, and like many, I put my passion on hold.

But everything changed after I got married. My family and friends started noticing my knack for makeup and began encouraging me to take it seriously. Their faith in me gave me the push I didn’t know I needed. That’s when I decided to stop treating makeup as just a hobby and give it the professional focus it deserved.

Choosing JD Institute of Fashion Technology for my training was one of the best decisions I’ve made. The Makeup Artistry course not only taught me essential techniques but also opened my eyes to the business and creativity behind makeup. The faculty, the hands-on sessions, and the exposure to industry-level work helped me grow more than I could have imagined.

After graduating, I started freelancing. From bridal makeovers to editorial shoots, I’ve had the chance to work with so many incredible people. Each project has helped me build my portfolio and gain confidence in my skills. And throughout it all, I carry the foundation that JD Institute gave me — both in technique and in mindset.

To anyone out there waiting for the “right time” — take it from me: it’s never too late. With the right support and the right training, your passion can become your profession.
