Jediiians shinning at India Beach Fashion Week

JD Institute of Fashion Technology has established itself as a cradle of global fashion talent for over 30 years. Bringing its rich legacy to beautiful Goa, JD Institute partnered with India Beach Fashion Week, held at Goa Marriott.

With its 6th edition, India Beach Fashion Week has emerged as a global fashion platform to present the latest innovation and designs across Beach, Cruise, and Resort wear.  Designers from all over India such as Anupama Dayal, Ken Ferns, Asif Merchant, Pria Kataria Puri, Gabriella Demetriades, Ripci Bhatia, Marks and Spencer, and the Como collective were a part of this prestigious event.

The event was not only a platform for famous designers but also for JD students to present their unique and innovative collection. Under the eminent experts from the industry, our students showcased garments on the lines of innovation and sustainability. They worked around recyclable, re-adjustable garments and featured collections made out of tea bags, left over fabrics, and technology chip inserted ones.  Apart from showcasing their talent, Jediiians also got an opportunity to witness experimental displays by global brands and be a part of the networking arena.

A delegation of students and faculty members from the JD Bangalore centre accompanied these designers giving our students a glimpse of how fashion shows, styling and events of this scale are conducted in the Industry.
