Designer Vrinda Goyal’s collection “Know Noise” is inspired by the predicaments faced by individuals who suffer from hearing impairment. Hence, the designer has created wearable technological solution in Athleisure wear, that enhances hearing through a hearing-aid like arm extension as well as omnidirectional noise cancelling. The embedded technology provides added value to the wearer.

The designer drew visual inspiration from hip hop and graffiti associated with it. Hip hop is an ironical connection to the loudness of music and the prevalence of hoods in their outfits which enables to conceal the device. Keeping this in mind along with style, comfort and concealing the device, the designer created vibrant colourful Athleisure wear line. Athleisure enables the wearer to partake in a number of activities like workout, wear it at the workplace, for school, casual and social occasions. The garments of the collection were created using knit fabric which has a soft texture and provides flexibility along with extensibility. Hence, this provides physical and emotional comfort along with a sense of normalcy to the wearer. It also enables the individual with sound impairments to thrive without distractions of additional noise.
