Before joining JD Institute, I wasn’t entirely sure where my passion lay. I had always loved fashion, but the idea of pursuing it as a career felt daunting. However, enrolling in JD Institute’s BSc in Fashion Design was the moment everything clicked into place.

At JD, I was introduced to a world of endless creativity. The institute provided the perfect balance between theoretical knowledge and practical experience. From learning about textile sciences to understanding fashion history, each subject broadened my perspective and helped me realise the impact fashion has on culture and society. The practical assignments were my favourite part of the course — they allowed me to experiment and refine my design skills.

The most memorable part of my journey at JD Institute was the JD Design Awards. The theme that year was “Future of Fashion,” and while I initially felt overwhelmed, I eventually embraced the challenge. It pushed me to think out of the box and explore sustainability in fashion, a cause I deeply care about. The mentors guided me through every step, from concept creation to fabric sourcing, and their feedback made my final collection even better than I imagined.

Looking back, JD didn’t just teach me fashion design. It gave me the confidence to explore my unique creative voice and the skills to bring my visions to life. Today, I’m proud of what I’ve achieved, and I feel fully equipped to make my mark in the fashion industry.
