The BSc Interior Design batch 2021 put up a beautiful exhibit of their work on 8th of April, 2022 inside the premises of JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore. The interior design aspirants prepared models of bedroom keeping in view the principles of design and applications of elements.
During their module study, the students learnt about the design and its classifications, various elements and principles of design along with concepts of colour- psychology, scheme and more. In the display, the students candidly talked about their designs and why they chose it. Picking up several themes such as Scandinavian, monochromatic and more, the models were prepared where the basic furniture of the bedroom was displayed along with their set up. The furniture included a bed, cupboard and a side table. While the basics were fulfilled by every student, some students went ahead to give their space a unique touch by introducing bookshelves, dressing tables, lamps, and more. The design aspirants also experimented with various shades for the wall and gave all their designs a touch of modernity.
Moreover, the future interior designers also explained their idea behind giving a particular structure to the bedroom models. As the bedroom is a place for relaxation, most of the students went for soothing wall colours as well as complementary furniture designs. They curated furniture out of cardboard boxes while decorated them further. Some of the students in order to give their models a realistic touch also put lights and small artificial plants. The creativity of the design students was astounding and received appreciation from all the visitors including the Managing Trustee of JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore, Mr Nealesh Dalal, who also interacted with the students and gave his inputs. The students also gave a glimpse of their learning by presenting their illustration work which showcased their vision and fine hand.
